On the second day of the camp, we assembled at 7am and we had our morning exercise which was a jog aroung the neighbouhood. After the jog, we had our breakfast which was eggs, sausages and bread. After that, all of us went to strike down all the tents and cleaned the area.
After that, it was time for one last game. This was a teambuilding game whereby one group has to try to lift up a bench with a few scouts only with the help of newspapers and the group which could lift up the most scouts would win. All the groups, other than one group, could only lift up three scouts while the only group left could lift upfour scouts. Thus, they were the winners. That was the last activity and all of us went home.

Primary School Scouts' Camp
Today, I just got back from another camp, this time, it is my primary school's scouts camp. I went back to my primary school, which is Kong Hwa School, to help out in the 2 day 1 night camp. I went there right after the job week session organised by my seondary school. I will be sharing with you the happenings on the first day of this camp in this post and the second day of the camp on the next post.
When I reached my primary school, they were already having their lunch, which is instant noodles. After they had their lunch, we cleared the area of any litter and proceeded in setting up the obstacle course. The obstacle course consist of a low wall which they must climb over, a tunnel, a "spiderweb" whereby a cub scout has to pretend to be a casualty while his other group members carry him and go past rafia strings tied to two poles. It also has a station called the balancing beam and the last station is when a scout has to volunteer to be a "catcher" and he holds up a pail which his group members must try to throw water bombs into the pail. After that, all the teams shen to try te obstacle course out they had lots of fun.
Next, it was time for water war. All the groups collected their water bombs and threw it at each other. All of us, including myself, got very wet and it was time for shower. After shower, we had our dinner followed by song session. After the song session, it was time for ghost stories. After that, all of the cub scouts were told to follow a route around the school and along the way, the seniors would jump out from our hiding place and scare them. After that, it was time for bed.

Secondary 1 Camp
On the last day of camp, we had to assemble at camp Christine at 6.30pm. After that, we went to do area cleaning followed by our breakfast. After having our breakfast, we went to strikedown our tents and some of the other groups had to do other things like cleaning the restrooms. It took us around 2 hours to do all the things as it was very difficult and all of us were already very tired. After that, we went to camp Christine to have our final briefing and the prize presentation and my group was the best group. After that, we bade farewell to our trainers and went home.
After this camp, I have a deeper understanding of some of my friends and I learnt that teamwork is important. In order to do things efficiently, we have to work together and coperate. I enjoyed this camp as I had an opportunity to enjoy nature as the campsite is surrounded by natural things.

Secondary 1 Camp
On the second day of the camp, we woke up at 6.30am and assembled at the canteen at 7am. After that, my group and I went to do area cleaning where we had to wash the restrooms and we had to clear the area that was assigned to us of litter. After that, we went to have our breakfast followed by some games. We played Ultimate Frisbee and "Monkey's Tail". We even competed with other teams and we won. Next we went for rafting. We were given three tyres and wooden poles and we had to come up with a desgin of a boat that could seat 4 people. The station master said that our design was very interesting and it was the first time she saw that design. Howerver, our boat could not float as well and we did not do well in that station. After rafting, we went to have our lunch and we had a quick shower because we went into the seawater during rafting. After that, we went to do the "Sarimbum Challenge" and the trainer said that it was going to be challenging. Indeed, he was right and it was very difficult. One of the things we had to do was to built a catapult using only ropes and wooden poles. We built the frame of it but due to insufficient amount of time given, we had a change of plans and we just placed a rope to fling the object. After the activities, we went for dinner and had a shower before the campfire.
At the campfire, all of the groups had to present cheers and the group that I am with was the second last to present our cheers. After doing out cheers, our trainer praised us for our effort and after that, we went to sleep.

Secondary 1 Camp
Today is the last day of my secondary 1 camp and I had lots of fun there. I went to Sarimbum Scouts camp for a 3 days 2 nights stay. It was from 11 March to 13 March. In this post, I would be sharing with all of you the things that I did on the first day of the camp and in the following posts, I would be sharing the things that happened on the second and third day of the camp my reflection.
On the first day of the camp, I went there in the morning and reached there at around 1pm. After putting my bags in the tents, I went to have lunch. After lunch, my group and I went to play a game called "Traffic Jam". It was problem solving game and I had lots of fun playing that even though it was challenging. Next, we went to our next activity which was backwood man cooking. We got to cook bananas with sugar, eggs in oranges and a donut called "Jungle Donuts". All of us got a taste of everything and it was an interesting experience. After eating the food that we made, we went to a place called the "Challenge Valley" where we had to go through different kinds of obstacle courses. However, due to time constraint, we did not get to do all the obstacle courses. After that, we went to have our shower and dinner and prepared for the campfire the next day and that sums up our day.
